I have personally tried and built all the concepts on this page. They do work and if you any questions about the instructions E-mail Me here.
Instructions:
Drill 2 holes in the lid of the jar the some size as your tubing.
Take on pecie of your tube and glue it to the top of the lid where you drilled one of the holes.(This parts for toking)
Take your bowl and glue it too the top of the lid over the other hole and connect the other peice of tube to it .
Let the glue set and your ready to toke it up :)
Personal Note: You will want to leave 2-3 inches of air space between the water and your toke hole, unless you want a not so yummy drink. Also, make sure the bowl tube is almost to the bottom of the jar. I suggest using soapstone to carve your own bowl but you can also purchase many glass and pyrex bowls out there. Finally, fill your bong with cheap vodka instead of water. Vodka has alcohol in it and this way bacteria and mold won't grow in your bong if you decide not to change the water everytime. Also, after the vodka in your bong has become really dark and full of resin, take a tooth brush and scrub the sides of the inside of the bong and get all the resin off. Then you can stick it in the freezer and get it really cold (it won't freeze remember, alcohol won't freeze) then stick the water(vodka) in a sauce pan and boil it off slowly until there is no more water like liquid in the pan. What you should have left is a thick syrup like form of hash made from resin, let it cool in the fridge and it should set up into something you can cut up, kinda like the consistancy of butter. You can also put some fresh bud into the pan while its boiling(about a gram) and you will have some nice resin hash to smoke on a cold night .
Gravity Bong
You Will Need: 1)A 1L or 2L pop bottle. 2)A jug, bucket or thermose that either a 1L or 2L bottle will fit in. 3) A 3inx3in peice of tinfoil and pin for a removable bowl. 4)Enough water to fill whatever container you choose to use.
Instructions:
Cut the bottom off of the pop bottle.
Form a bowl around the top of the bottle with the tinfoil and poke 5 or 6 pinholes in the foil to make a bowl/screen. (Make sure you can remove the bowl easily because you toke from the top of the bottle aswell)
Fill the container you choose to use almost full with water.
Submerge the bottom (The cut end) of the bottle into the water almost all the way.
Put your bud or hash on your removable bowl and light it up while slowly pulling the bottle UP out of the water. (The chamber between the top of the bottle and the water should fill with smoke)
Now without taking the bottle out of the water, remove the tinfoil bowl, put your lips around the opening and push the bottle DOWN as you inhail. (This forces the smoke straight into your lungs)
*Basically it acts like a water lung, but isn't all that affective.*
Personal Note: I don't suggest using this kind of bong for smoking lots of bud. When you get the hang of it you can get huge tokes without staining your lungs but you waist alot of bud, its awkward and just a pain in the ass the first few times. It's a fun way to smoke a small bowl of weed and is made from things found around your house which is a plus. If you wanna try this one night for something new i suggest it but gimme a Water Bong over a Gravity Bong anyday.
